Health Insurance can be free - how about those services? Should they be free too? If they should - than who would pay for it? I spoke with my doctor, and he says he ain't getting paid enough as it is. Spoke to other people - they're dropping government coverage, because they loose money on every transaction.

Did you live with government provided health services? I have. So don't tell me what it will be like - I know first hand what it is like. And I am worried about my doctor - I want him well-fed and working, as opposed to dumb and hungry, which is what government health-care ends-up doing.

Besides, doctors who talk like the ones U R talking with R in business 4 money. A doctor is called in the same way a minister or teacher is summoned. They either do it from the heart or 4 money.

I do not practice any religion so not sure about preachers. About teachers - those who want to teach, and those who can - are two different things, and whether they work from the heart or for money - they all get paid the same, but mostly produce nothing - thanks for the unions, and government jobs. Sure let's make doctors same as teachers, and we will get the same results as we do in our school - a whole bunch of morons reproducing more morons via a class room. From the heart. I want professionals doing their job and compensated based on the results, not tenure.

Honest and hardworking sounds good, what about knowledgeable and professional? Cause if you know any - my company is hiring, but can't find any. Perhaps brains do matter - in teachers, in doctors, and maybe even in preachers, but I do not know too many.

First, no one complains about the service from Medicare, second, better service is always available to those who are willing to pay extra. We all pay for Medicare/Medicaid/Chips, and whatever other programs that offer free services that are better than some insurance plans. Actually, not true, they all have better health care than the U.S. and they pay less for it. They may have waiting times for certain procedures, but that is because they triage. Money doesn't buy you the front of the line as it does here.

As you pointed out, with Medicare for all, everyone pays their share. Also, you already pay for illegals only there is no way to account for it since there is no central management of health care and no central database keeping track. The only way to find out the cost is to survey hospitals which is a very inaccurate way of tracking the cost.

I am worried, because like I said - I lived there, and believe me - people who have my life in their hands, either know what they are doing, or they don't - and both are compensated the same. Hence it is up to me to choose and maintain a doctor.

I worked for a long time on various government contracts - and one conclusion I have arrived at is - if your work for the government as a government badge, as opposed to contractor - it is nearly a guarantee that you have no clue and/or prior experience at what you're doing. The best case scenario is when a pro stays in the field of their expertise for so long that their skills and knowledge become obsolete. That is a good case, in other case you have a colonel of the winged aircraft running an IT pilot project, or an office manager running a space shuttle, or a failure of a community organizer with no knowledge of the economics, or politics, or history running the whole country. On a more cheerful note - for a white man to be hired as a government employee in their field of expertise it takes connections, or nepotism, or a miracle.

Those people that didn't get a job? I saw this with my own 2 eyes. They were smart sharp & intelligent. If U R hiring, make sure U have good advertisement.

Most all the "created" jobs (vast majority of the new ones in the last report) are service sector.....low pay / little if any benefits.

Whether we like it or not, SOME kind of gov. ins. is going to happen. it has to. Even the jobs that were mostly secure from cuts are now in the bullseye. Medical field, public servant work. Those are now, finally, being asked to pay part of the cost.

Say what you want, I interview business owners from Chicago to Charlotte, main street. And I don't see a pretty picture. Even if the economy got better tomorrow, if all those wanting a good job got one tomorrow, it'd be YEARS before things got straightened up. Nest eggs are tapped. Pensions are gone (unless your a civil servant).

First hand experience is not evidence. I could give you piles of anecdotal evidence of how atrocious health care is in the U.S. The statistics speak clearly to the advantages of national health care plans.

I can tell U that 2 move from 1 position 2 the next, U have 2 complete an application listing your qualifications.

Yeah, I know all about it. You want a story - here is a story about those applicatioins. The government wanted all of its employees to take a class, and pass a test in a certain area, or else... there would be consequences. So this one employee fails the test 4-5-6 times (frankly I lost count), what does the manager do? That's right promotes her, and assignes her to take another class (but not another test) sometime in the future at the employee's convenience. Maybe you work for a different government. The one I am describing is mine.

Well, I didn't know U alone owned the government. However; if U had 1st hand knowledge of an injustice being done, U should have went through the Chain of Command until the problem was resolved. That's what I Did.

I am a contractor, which pretty much means a peon, all I could do is trade this nightmare for a lesser one, which is what I did. It is not about injustice, it is about everyday practice.

Every government agency I ever worked 4 & all my family & friends worked with had twice as many qualified white people.
